CHANNEL 500 NAMES FISHBOWL AOR

Channel 500, a Toronto-based direct response television production company, has named Fishbowl Communications Ltd. its public relations agency-of-record. Fishbowl was awarded the AOR appointment through a referral from a marketing colleague, Rod Bell, president of Channel 500 explained. Previously the company worked with a number of freelancers on a project basis for its public relations activities. Fishbowl's appointment marks the first AOR to Channel 500's roster. The Toronto-based agency will be responsible for all of the company's public relations activities as well as developing communication strategies to support the expansion into new markets and build awareness for its electronic direct response programs. The EDR programs are produced in the form of an infomercial, e-commerce site or interactive television. Bell also said Fishbowl will be working with Channel 500 when it announces a major initiative this fall. Clients of Channel 500 include: The Bank of Montreal, Rogers AT&T, Hewlett-Packard and British Telecom.
