Heinz Canada has a new vice president of marketing following the promotion of Peter Luik. Luik is promoted to his new role after serving as general manager of the company's pet food portfolio. He first joined Heinz Canada in 1999 from Nabisco Ltd. where he held a senior management position.

Eli Lilly Canada has appointed Robert Schmid vice president of marketing and Elizabeth O'Farrell vice president of corporate services. Both appointments are effective immediately. Schmid and O'Farrell come to Toronto-based Eli Lilly Canada from the company's parent Eli Lilly & Company, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Schmid previously held the position of director of commercial affairs for CNS products and O'Farrell was director of corporate financial reporting.

Following Crossroads Television System's move of its national sales in-house, the station has appointed Barry Trebell senior account executive. In his new role, Trebell will be responsible for representing CTS to Toronto advertising agencies. Most recently he was vice president of sales for a Toronto-based production company.
