CMT LAUNCHES ON-AIR SCAVENGER HUNT

Calgary-based CMT has teamed up with Chevy Trucks and Canadian country music artist Jim Witter in a new promotion that will see one viewer drive home in the Chevy Silverado truck featured in Witter's new video "Tough as a Pickup Truck." "Witter and Chevy have joined forces with CMT and taken a non-traditional media, namely country music videos, and created a great awareness for Chevy's Silverado," Casey Clarke, CMT's music director said in a release. The give away is part of CMT's Scavenger Hunt taking place on-air April 15 and 16. Viewers can participate by picking up their list in the current issue of Wal-Mart's Profile Magazine or online at CMT's Web site <http://www.cmtcanada.com>. Viewers then tune into the network to name the videos containing the items on the scavenger list. A national advertising campaign including television, radio, print and online is supporting the give away. Additional promotion for Chevy will be seen during the scavenger hunt with an animated Chevy graphic being used to identify videos containing scavenger hunt items. A random draw from all the eligible entries submitted to CMT will be held to determine the winner of the Chevy truck. CMT is owned by Corus Entertainment Inc. Advertising was handled in house.
