BURGER KING AND RAPTORS SCRATCH TO WIN
By Adnews Staff
Burger King Restaurants of Canada, Sprite and the Toronto Raptors have launched a new scratch and win promotion. The three-week promotion is running at 86 Burger King locations in the Greater Toronto Area and is being supported with local newspaper and radio advertising from Ammirati Puris Lintas. Additional promotion will be seen in-restaurant with point-of-purchase materials. Instant win game cards are being distributed to customers with the purchase of any Burger King Value meal. Prizes available to be won include two season tickets for the 2000/2001 Toronto Raptors regular season, Raptors merchandise such as basketballs and T-shirts, Burger King menu items and Sprite products. The new promotion is the part of a five-year agreement announced earlier this year between Burger King and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. The agreement includes print advertising, rinkboard signage and promotional rights including the Whopper being named the official hamburger of the Air Canada Centre, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors. PR for Burger King is handled by Budman & Associates of Toronto.
