MMIC WHEELING OVER NEW CAMPAIGN

The Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council of Markham, Ontario is launching a new consumer advertising campaign promoting its rider training courses. The full-page color print campaign is running from now until mid-May in Maclean's, L'Actualite and Time magazines. The ads encourage readers to call MMIC's toll-free number or visit its Web site to "find out how safe and easy its is to become a rider." MMIC's basic training courses offer riders, or those who are interested in learning how to ride, the skills needed to safely handle a motorcycle. Courses are usually held on weekends from April through October. The campaign is the first phase of a three-year advertising effort. MMIC, a national, non-profit trade association representing the interests of motorcycle distributors, will launch a second wave of advertising next year. The second phase is expected to focus on women riders. Advertising for MMIC is done by For Associations Only of Toronto. For Associations Only is a communications firm who clients are primarily non-profit groups and organizations.
