BOMBARDIER LAUNCHES SKI-DOO REVIEW

Bombardier Inc. of Valcourt, Quebec is launching an agency review for its $10 million Ski-Doo brand snowmobiling account. According to a report in Advertising Age, the company has sent requests for proposals to 15 Canadian and U.S. agencies. The report states Bombardier wants to move the strategy inside, so the brand no longer needs the strength from incumbent Ogilvy & Mather of Dearborn, Michigan. Bombardier marketing director Chris Dawson said in the article the company is committed to the U.S. for creative and indicated U.S. shops may have the inside track. A list will be trimmed to between three and five shops rather quickly and a decision is expected in late May, early June.
