The marketing/public relations agency Cù has welcomed the addition of Samantha Gayfer and Rachel Huchkewich to its team. Gayfer joins Cù from Rapp Collins Worldwide where she was an account manager. At Cù, she will manger public relations for the agency's new client BrannWorldwide Canada. Huchkewich joins the Cù team in the role of account coordinator. She comes to Cù from the public relations diploma program at Humber College. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Barbara Passmore has retired as vice president, director of communications and research with J. Walter Thompson and Thompson Enterprise Media. Passmore had been with JWT and TE Media for over 22 years. She is past chair of the Canadian Outdoor Measurement Bureau and current chair of the COMB Proof of Performance Committee. She maintains an active role as a board member of the Print Measurement Bureau, Broadcast Research Council and the Canadian Advertising Research Foundation. Passmore will continue to work in a consultant capacity. Additional plans include travelling abroad and spending time at her cottage north of Toronto.
The Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada has appointed Daintry Springer executive director, effective April 4, 2000. In her new role, Springer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization. Daintry joins the IAB from the Royal Bank Financial Group where she worked as manager of media enterprises.
