Maude Simard has been appointed to the position of general manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb Consumer Products Group-Canada. Simard will be responsible for strategic planning and growth performance for the Canadian consumer business as well as the overall management of the Canadian organization. Simard joined Clairol Canada, which is owned and operated by Bristol Myers Squibb, in 1976 as a product manager. After working in a number of marketing management roles, she most recently held the position of vice president of marketing at Bristol Myers Squibb Consumer Group-Canada.
GCI Group has promoted Margaret Ward-Jack from group manager to vice president of the agency's corporate practice. In the past, Ward-Jack has worked on the CSA International, Canon Canada, SmithKline Beecham and Pfizer accounts.
Key Media Ltd. has hired Renata Kunz and promoted Kate MacDougall. Kunz has been appointed consumer marketing manager of Toronto Life, Fashion and Canadian Art magazines. She joins the consumer marketing department from Saturday Night where she was consumer marketing manager. MacDougall has been promoted from associate consumer marketing manager to consumer marketing manager. MacDougall's new position will see her take a leading role in retaining subscribers.
