INTERNET SHOPPING EXPO TARGETS THE ONLINE CUSTOMER

The Internet Shopping Expo, a three-day event taking place in Toronto in November, is aimed at the growing number of online shoppers. Produced by Macgregor Communications of Markham, Ontario, the expo is designed to bring e-retail businesses directly to consumers to create "e-confidence" in shopping online. A direct marketing campaign is attempting to attract potential key exhibitors on international, national and regional levels. Radio, television, print and online advertising will be promoting the expo, but plans have not been confirmed. Macgregor is targeting adults, 25-50 years of age, who currently use the Internet and may or may not shop online, as well as professionals with limited time to surf the Web but who are interested in shopping online. Macgregor, which works with an advertising agency, is also looking for media partners to promote the show. PR for Macgregor is handled by Michael Communications of Toronto. The Internet Shopping Expo runs from November 10-12.
