HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION IN FULL BLOOM
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based HGTV Canada's new spring campaign is counting down the days until spring has sprung. The new campaign, created by HGTV's in-house creative team and the Toronto offices of Ammirati Puris Lintas, launches on March 20, the first day of spring, in support of the network's new block of programming called Garden Time, airing nightly from 8-9 p.m. The spring promotion includes outdoor and transit advertising running in the Toronto and Vancouver markets, prints ads in targeted national magazines and television listing books, on-air spots, including a "Countdown to the First Day of Spring" which launched last week, a new HGTV Canada Web site at <http://www.hgtv.ca>, bookstore promotions running in conjunction with host Mark Cullen's new gardening guide, and in-stores displays at gardening retailers. The creative uses images of flowers that are in the process of blooming to play on the anticipation of spring after the long winter season. The campaign is scheduled to run throughout the season.
