AIRLINE CONSOLIDATION LANDS ADVERTISERS TARGET AUDIENCE

Air Canada and Canadian Airlines have announced plans to consolidate all domestic, transborder and international operations for both airlines at Pearson Terminals 1 and 2. Toronto-based Eller Canada, which hold the concession for advertising rights in both terminals, believes the plans are excellent news for its advertisers. Eller Canada president John Jory said he acknowledges his company can expect an increase in advertising because of the consolidation plans. Advertisers can now reach a more targeted audience of business and scheduled passengers in two terminals rather than three, he said. The consolidation plans are expected to be complete by June 2000. Terminal 3 is expected to house international and charter air line carriers. Eller Canada operates its airport advertising concessions under the TMI Transportation Media Inc. banner, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eller Media Inc.
