UPS PROMOTING GOOD GUYS
By Adnews Staff
UPS Canada Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario is showing just how good its delivery guys are in a new spot from Toronto-based Ammirati Puris Lintas. The new television commercial continues the "Moving at the Speed of Your Business" campaign launched last year. These Guys are Good hits the airwaves today and is designed to demonstrate that UPS adapts to any situation when delivering a package to the customer. The spot opens with a UPS driver parking his package vehicle, checking his watch and adjusting his rear view mirror. The driver is situated behind a roadside billboard just barely out of view on a deserted strip of highway, when his sees his customer, a police officer. In traffic-cop style, he pulls the police officer over to the side of the road where he then proceeds to deliver the package. As the UPS driver walks back to his vehicle, the police officer looks as his package and smiles, acknowledging "these guys are good". The national television spot will be supported with radio advertising. PR for UPS Canada is handled by Edelman Public Relations of Toronto.
