STANGER AND BATHO LEAVE GENESIS MEDIA

Genesis Media has lost both its CEO and COO. David Stanger, who was appointed president and CEO of Genesis last fall and Tom Batho, who was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer, have both left the company. Stanger had been working out of both the agency's Vancouver and Toronto offices. Bruce Claassen will be taking over Stanger's role of CEO in addition to his role of chairman of the Genesis Group of Companies. Claassen returns to the role after previously holding the position prior to Stanger's appointment. Stanger may remain as a consultant with Genesis' Western operations, which includes its Vancouver and Calgary offices, but nothing has been decided upon at this point. Batho, who reportedly worked closely with Stanger, has left the company for other unknown interests. Claassen said the agency will be recruiting someone to look over the Toronto office immediately.
