ROM LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT LARGEST EXHIBITION EVER

Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum opens its doors this weekend to its largest exhibition ever, and in support an interest-building ad campaign has been launched. Egyptian Art in the Age of the Pyramids runs from February 13 to May 22. Print, radio and outdoor advertising from Toronto-based Doner Canada has been running both in Canada and south of the border to build awareness of and excitement for the show's opening. Print ads in magazines and newspapers are being supported with radio advertising, transit shelter and subway door card promotion. The campaign uses the tagline "Miss it and you'll curse yourself." The international exhibition, which has also run at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Reunion des Musees Nationaux in Paris, features 200 pieces of sculpture and decorative art from Egypt's Golden Age (2650 to 2150 B.C.). The campaign will continue to run until the end of May.
