TOYBOUTIQUE.COM PROMOTING SHOPPING ONLINE

Toyboutique.com, the online toy store launched last month by Toronto-based Nikolai.com Inc. is beginning its first advertising campaign designed to target the inconsistencies of online ecommerce across borders. The ad campaign broke December 2 with 3/4 page colour and black and white print ads running in the Toronto Star, Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald and Montreal Gazette newspapers. Two 15-second television spots will be introduced this week adding to the campaign. The commercials will run back to back on Global, YTV, Teletoon and the Women's Television Network. The first spot called "Train" says "Shopping Online? Don't let your toys get stuck at the border". The tag line used is "Shop at toyboutique.com, For Canadians, by Canadians, Shipped in Canada." The second spot, called "Bear" follows the same theme by saying "Shopping Online? Buying toys in U.S. dollars costs more than you think!". The tag line used here is "Shop at toyboutique.com, For Canadians, By Canadians, In Canadian dollars." The campaign, created in-house by Nikolai.com Inc., runs until mid-December. PR for Nikolai.com Inc. is handled by Special Assignment Inc. of Toronto.
