MIKE ROLLS INTO THE ALBERTA MARKET

Clearnet Communications Inc. of Toronto has brought Mike to Alberta. The wireless communication company launched its Mike Network in Alberta following a two week outdoor teaser campaign dropping hints about Mike coming to town November 8th. The launch of Mike in the Alberta market means all three of Clearnet's wireless networks, Clearnet PCS, Mike and analogue dispatch, are now available in the province. The availability of Clearnet's Mike brand is being promoted with an Alberta-specific advertising campaign. Television, print, outdoor and radio advertising from Toronto's TAXI Advertising and Design will promote the Mike Network to the business industry in Alberta. The campaign is scheduled to run throughout the holiday season. Clearnet's Mike Network combines two-way radio, alphanumeric paging, e-mail and fax services in a single phone. Currently the Mike Network is offered in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec. The Alberta launch includes coverage in Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer. Fort McMurray, Camrose, Banff, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat will be added by the end of the year and additional locations by the end of 2000.
