MAXXCOM SPEAKING WITH AN ACCENT

The communications and marketing services division of Toronto-based MDC Corporation has picked up an accent. The division, now known as Maxxcom, recently acquired ACCENT Marketing Services of Louisville, Ky. Financial details of the acquisition, which closed thursday, were not disclosed. ACCENT Marketing offers strategic direct marketing programs and customer service and in-bound call taking functions for clients including: Sprint, Sears, Amana, Humana and Zenith. With the recent ACCENT acquisition, Maxxcom now has 17 marketing communication firms throughout North America with plans for future acquisitions in both the U.S. and Canada. Maxxcom, which is comprised of two divisions, one for integrated marketing communications firms that provide a range of services and the other for specialized communications firms, is the largest full-service marketing communications organization based in Canada.
