CANADA.COM AND BANK OF MONTREAL CHARGE IT ONLINE

Canadian Internet portal canada.com in partnership with Bank of Montreal have launched the canada.com MasterCard card. The co-branded credit card is geared to the online shopper, offering features such as free delivery or ten per cent off the retail price of goods purchased online at retailers in the program. Customers will also earn Air Miles on every purchase made. To promote the availability of the new card, a four-page insert will be included in 1.3 million copies of the National Post and other Southam and Hollinger newspapers. Print ads, created by Grey Advertising, will also be running in newspapers across Canada promoting the canada.com MasterCard. Additional promotion will be seen online on both the canada.com and Bank of Montreal Web sites. The card design was created by Ove Design & Communications Ltd. of Toronto.
