INTERCOLOUR GRAPHICS BECOMES OPTIUM

Toronto-based pre-press and large format digital printing company Intercolour Graphics is re-launching itself today and will officially begin operating as Optium Inc. The company was acquired by CEO Vito Froio in 1993. In January of 1998, Frank Turner and Bill Dier joined as managing shareholders. According to Turner, the company tossed around words like optimism and opportunity and came up with "Optium". Scott Thornley & Company of Toronto developed Optium's marketing communications and creative, re-designing the company's corporate identity. A teaser campaign launched in August included four direct mail pieces.
