GROUP TELECOM EXPANDING CROSS COUNTRY

Vancouver-based Group Telecom has announced plans to expand across Canada, offering voice, data, Internet and internal applications services to small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. The telecommunications company is currently operating in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. It plans to expand to Edmonton, Victoria and Montreal by March 2000. A year from now the company expects to be offering services to the Winnipeg, Ottawa-Hull, Quebec City, Hamilton, London and Kitchener-Waterloo markets. The group has plans to move into Atlantic Canada as well. An advertising campaign supporting the company's expansion announcement launches today from Bryant, Fulton & Shee of Vancouver. Full-page print ads can be seen in The Globe and Mail, National Post and Toronto Star. Additional print advertising will be seen in targeted industry publications and local business magazines in the Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary markets. Additional advertising will include a direct mail campaign and the possibility of using transit and outdoor media as well. PR for Group Telecom is handled by Goodman Communications of Toronto.
