NEXTMEDIA & YWCA PROMOTING WEEK WITHOUT VIOLENCE
By Adnews Staff
NextMedia of Toronto has been hired to promote the Young Women's Christian Association's annual "YWCA Week Without Violence" campaign. Week Without Violence is a nation-wide event designed to bring Canadians of all ages, cultures, races and creeds together to build solutions to violence in their communities. The campaign includes advertising, promotion, public and media relation activities designed so regional YWCA offices can customize materials to promote the event locally. The look of the campaign is based on an original, commissioned illustration by Quebec artist Sylvie Bourbonniere and uses the tagline "Violence Hurts Us All, It Takes Everyone To Stop It". The campaign, which is in the process of being launched, will include the distribution of event materials by national program sponsor Clarica's sales force. CFMT has produced a television public service announcement and a radio PSA will be aired on Rogers radio stations. Magazine ads in both English and French are running in Chatelaine magazine and posters and postcards are being distributed nationally by Zoom Media. In addition Grassroots Advertising will produce and distribute outdoor posters. The YWCA Week Without Violence event runs October 17 thorough October 23.
