FCB TOURING HONG KONG AS AOR

FCB Worldwide will start the new year by touring Hong Kong after being appointed advertising agency-of-record for the Hong Kong Tourist Association. The agency will be responsible for the US $12 million global account and will build on the association's existing "City of Life" campaign. FCB was awarded the account following a competition that included Ogilvy & Mather and EURO RSCG. The incumbent on the account was BBDO. FCB will work to expand the association's marketing efforts to include Web marketing, direct marketing and collaboration with partners such as airlines, hotels and credit card companies. The appointment is effective January 1, 2000 and will be headed out of FCB's Hong Kong office.
