HUDSON'S BAY OFFERING INSURANCE TO BAY AND ZELLERS CARD HOLDERS

Hudson's Bay Company of Toronto is launching a new car and home insurance program to its Bay and Zellers card holders. The announcement, made yesterday, introduces two brands of insurance to credit card customers: The Bay Car & Home Insurance Plan and Zellers Car & Home Insurance Plan. To promote the new insurance services a direct mail insert was sent to card customers with their July statements. The campaign was created by Cundari Group of Toronto. Features of the insurance programs include competitive rates, rapid quotes, toll-free service from anywhere in Canada, guaranteed 24-hour claims handling and billing on Bay or Zellers credit cards. The Car & Home Insurance Plans are being underwritten by Peopleplus Insurance Company of Toronto. Peopleplus Insurance is a member of the Zurich Financial Services Group. Hudson's Bay Company operates 100 Bay stores and more than 320 Zellers stores across the country.
