TCAAN HONORS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT

The recipient of the first TCAAN Trans-Canada Advertising Agency Network's Lifetime Achievement Award is Larry Foley. The award was presented to Foley in recognition of his half-century of service to the Canadian Advertising industry. The Award was designed by Bob Stamnes and Rob Glennie of Glennie Stamnes Strategy. Foley started his advertising career in 1948 with McConnell Eastman in Toronto. In 1953 he joined McKim Advertising, where he became chairman and CEO until his retirement in 1982. During this time Foley was also involved in several industry associations, serving as chairman of the Agency Forum (later named the Society of Ontario Advertising Agencies), director, chairman and fellow of the Institute of Canadian Advertising and vice president of the Canadian Advertising Advisory Board. Since retiring, Foley has remained involved in the industry through his TCAAN association and as a member of the Academy of Senior Professionals.
