TELETOON HOLDING A SPOOK-A-THON WEEKEND

TELETOON, the all-animation station based in Toronto, is stocking up on popcorn for the network's "spook-a-thon" weekend July 10 and 11. The weekend is in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the movie "Ghostbusters" and its release on video and DVD. Working with Toronto-based Columbia TriStar Home Video, TELETOON, has developed a contest running each night of the "spook-a-thon" weekend. Beginning next week, on-air promo spots will be inviting kids to enter the network's contest. Creative for the promotional spots running on TELETOON was designed by Toronto-based Griffin Bacal Volny. During the two hour sneak preview presentations of The Real Ghostbusters series, which will join the network's lineup this fall, viewers are asked to be on the look out for the Ghostbusters' logo. Viewers are to write down the day and time it appeared and send in their entries to TELETOON for a chance to win a Sony home entertainment system or a "Ghostbusters Prize Pack". The Real Ghostbusters animated series was originally created in 1986. The series lasted five seasons.
