TORONTO AND OTTAWA LAW FIRMS ADVERTISE MERGER

The law firms of Borden & Elliot in Toronto and Scott & Aylen in Ottawa have announced that the two full-service firms are merging together to form a multi-disciplinary law partnership. To support the announcement from the two firms, a print advertising campaign ran in six daily newspapers yesterday and a direct mail piece will be sent to clients of both firms. The advertising campaign as well as all public relations work is being done by NATIONAL Public Relations of Toronto. The merged firm is taking advantage of a recently announced decision by the Law Society of Upper Canada to permit multi-disciplinary partnerships. The Law Society is the body that regulates lawyers. Jenny Matrosovs from NATIONAL explained the new decision to permit multi-disciplinary partnerships means more than just lawyers can be made partners in the firm.
The merged firm will be Borden & Elliot in Toronto and Borden Elliot Scott & Aylen in Ottawa.
