COSSETTE COMMUNICATION ACQUIRING HALIFAX'S PULSE MARKETING

Cossette Communications Group Inc. of Quebec and Pulse Marketing Inc. of Halifax are joining forces. The two firms have signed a memorandum of understanding for Cossette to acquire Pulse. The deal is scheduled to close in 90 days. Cossette, which recently filed an Initial Public Offering for $38.7 million, had previously announced that the communications marketing firm would use any money raised to accelerate growth and expand both in Canada and the United States. The announcement is the first acquisition project for Cossette since filing its IPO. Pulse partners William Murphy, David Maguire and Neale Benner will remain in charge of the Halifax operation.
