CBC IS PLAYING LIKE THE PROS

CBC Newsworld's Sports Journal is targeting all golf fans with the "Gillette's Play Like The Pros" contest. To promote the contest, running from June 8 to July 19, national television commercials on CBC Newsworld and CBC Television will be used, as well as full-page ads in TV GUIDE magazine. The campaign was created in-house by CBC. The grand prize is a trip for two to the Four Seasons Resort in Dallas, Texas and includes training at the Byron Nelson Golf School. To participate, viewers of the Sports Journal will be given a 1-800 number to call for an instant contest entry. The first five callers each night will also win a Gillette Series gift pack. Mail-in entries are available in TV GUIDE. The Sports Journal is a magazine-style journalism show about sports culture.
