TBWA Chiat/Day has announced two new additions to their Toronto offices. Dru Lynch joins the company as account director on the Nissan/Infinite account. Prior to joining TBWA Chiat/Day, Lynch was vice president, northeast for Zimmerman Partners Advertising in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Also joining the company as media planner is Natalie Riznek. Riznek was most recently a media supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather. Ronald Corey, president of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club and the Molson Centre, has announced he will step down after 17 years of service. An executive search firm has been hired to conduct a search to find a replacement to Corey. Molson hopes to have a new president in place for the beginning of the next hockey season. Corey will remain president until July 31.
NBA Canada has announced two new staff promotions. Peter King has been promoted from coordinator, promotions and program development to manager, marketing partnerships. King will be responsible for developing and managing the strategic partnerships with NBA sponsors across Canada. Sue Capalbo has been promoted from secretary to assistant, consumer products group. She will be responsible for administering royalties and overseeing quality control guidelines for NBA licensed products.
