VECTRA AND THE COMEDY NETWORK LAUGH IT UP

Vectra Marketing Group, a promotional marketing agency based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, has signed an agreement with specialty cable channel The Comedy Network to launch three national comedy tours. Vectra will also develop sponsorship and promotional opportunities for a six-to-eight city tour by "high profile" Canadian and U.S. comedians to take place in late summer and fall. "The Comedy Network's viewership keeps growing and growing," said Vectra vice-president Joel Hock, "Making it a very attractive vehicle for exposure. We're also pleased that our efforts will help reinforce The Comedy Network's position as the premiere place for comedy in Canada and promote Canadian and international comics." The Comedy Network is a two-year-old specialty channel owned by Toronto-based CTV.
