UNIGLOBE TRAVEL SURFS ONTO ALATAVISTA WEB SITE

UTO Uniglobe Travel Online Inc. of Vancouver has announced the addition of AltaVista to its marketing campaign that includes advertising on high-traffic sites on the Internet. UTO began its campaign on the Yahoo! and Microsoft websites in March. Included in the AltaVista advertising relationship are UTO banner advertisements running on cruise-related pages generated by the AltaVista search engine. The online travel company says it is looking to further develop its marketing relationship with the AltaVista search engine. "The AltaVista advertising relationship complements the current campaign we are running on both Yahoo! and Microsoft websites. Developing these relationships with such dominant websites is a focus for UTO in generating new business and customer traffic for its website," UTO's senior vice-president of operations, Michael Dauberman said in a release. UTO's largest shareholder is Uniglobe Travel Inc. Advertising for Uniglobe Travel Online is done in-house.
