TEST DRIVE CANADA BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR

The Canadian Association of Japanese Automobile Dealers of Toronto is back to sponsor the fourth annual Test Drive Canada Contest. The contest awards five couples the chance to drive six brand new Japanese cars across Canada from coast to coast. To advertise the contest, the CAJAD has done promotions at auto shows across Canada. A print ad appearing in daily newspapers was also created to promote the contest. The ad was designed by Oxygen Design & Communications of Toronto. Individual dealerships are also promoting the contest with point-of-purchase materials, ballot boxes and pamphlets. CAJAD is the national organization of more than 1,000 Canadian businesses that sell and service vehicles produced by Acura, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru and Suzuki. Ballots are now available at participating dealers across Canada. Winners will be awarded a flight to Victoria, B.C. where they will pick up one of six Japanese-brand cars to start their trip across Canada. Along the way they will enjoy seven nights accommodation at Sheraton Hotels and get Scotiabank VISA travelers cheques for spending money. Shell gasoline will also be supplied. A representative from Carguide Magazine will accompany the couples on a predetermined route along the Trans Canada Highway. Couples will trade cars along the way to allow each winner to test drive each vehicle. The contest deadline is May 14 with the draw taking place May 31.
