The Medical Knowledge Group of Toronto has opened its doors for business. The sister company of Hill and Knowlton Canada Ltd., a public relations agency based in New York, with offices in Toronto, has launched a new approach to continuing medical education. The MKG offers health and pharmaceutical clients the opportunity to partner with one company for its full complement of communication needs. To promote the new company a direct mail campaign, created in-house, will target potential clients. A print ad will also be used targeting the pharmaceutical industry. Current clients of MKG include: Glaxo Wellcome, Alza Canada and Purdue Frederick. MKG will develop learning programs, as well as disease state management programs and advisory board development and management. In addition MKG will also offer services such as Web site development, interactive lectures, telemedicine, collateral materials development and presentation skills training for physicians. General manager of the new company will be senior vice president of Hill and Knowlton's Toronto Health and Pharmaceutical Practice Robin Kerbel.
