DAFFODILS BLOOMING AS SIGNS OF SPRING APPROACH
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Division of Toronto can see the signs that Spring has sprung with the return of the organization's annual month-long fundraising campaign. April is Daffodil month and thousands of CCS volunteers will knock on doors raising funds to help fight cancer by selling daffodils. The annual campaign is being promoted using public service announcements for radio, television, newspapers, magazine and outdoor advertising. The campaign is built upon the original campaign created seven years ago to by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto to promote Daffodil Month and uses the same spokesperson featured in the first campaign, Rae Ellen Hutley, a cancer survivor. Originally created for Ontario, according to the CCS, every province west of Ontario has picked up the campaign, scheduled to run until the end of April.
