FASHION CARES HOLLYWOOD STYLE
By Adnews Staff
Fashion Cares of Toronto, a non-profit organization supporting the AIDS committee of Toronto, is kicking off its 13th annual gala fundraising event with a fashion show, cocktail reception, three course dinner and a "Screening Room", a collection of Chinese screens designed by some of Toronto's interior designers that will be part of a silent auction. The theme of the evening is a tribute to film and fantasy and is called M*A*C Viva Glam Mondo MovieRama. The event's fashion show is taking its cue form the world of film with designers being asked to create designs inspired by cinematic genres. Retailers including Hudson's Bay, Holt Renfrew, Eaton's and the Gap have donated items for the event that takes place on May 8 at the Toronto Convention Centre. Sponsorship opportunities for the event are still available. PR for Fashion Cares is being handled by Toronto-based Cohen & Wolfe. Promotion of the event is being done using print and television advertising. Advertising for Fashion Cares is done in-house.
