SUBWAY WELCOMES BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE

Fast-food chain SUBWAY of Milford, Connecticut is launching a North American campaign next month tying in with Jim Henson's "Bear in the Big Blue House," a children's television series which features a seven-foot bear who explores themes such as sharing, gravity, water and birthdays. The program airs on the Disney Channel weekdays and weekends. Subway is promoting the preschool program in its stores via a Subway's Kids' Pak. The Kids' Pak includes a Big Blue House Viewfinder, a Cha-Cha-Cha Bear, Pip & Pop Tub Fun and Tutter's Cheese Chase. During the campaign, Subway will also promote the "Party with Bear" contest. The grand prize winner will receive a visit to their house from Bear and gifts for 25 guests. The campaign will be advertised using in-store materials by Publicis Hal Riney & Partners Chicago office.
