PCF IS THE CHOICE FOR HOME MORTGAGES

President's Choice Financial of Toronto is promoting its home mortgages with a new direct mail campaign. According to PCF, the company is offering mortgages featuring better posted rates that the top five banks as well as PC Points, which are redeemable for free groceries. PCF reports the current rate for the Presidents Choice Financial standard five year mortgage is 6.37%, compared to the 7.15% offered by the major banks as of March 17, 1999. In addition to the rates, PCF customers earn 2,500 PC Points toward free groceries for every $1,000 of their total mortgage amount on closing. The campaign is also using statement inserts and in-store materials, flyers and the President's Choice website to advertise the rates. The direct mail campaign was created by Lowe RMP Direct of Toronto. The remainder of the campaign was created by Perennial Design Co. Ltd. of Toronto. Shandwick Canada of Toronto is handling PR. The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce supplies the banking services for President's Choice customers.
