HYATT OPENS TWO NEW HOTELS IN CANADA

Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corp. is continuing its expansion with the announcement of two hotels in Canada. The hotels, one in Toronto and one in Calgary, join Hyatt Regency Vancouver as the second and third Hyatt hotels in Canada. Also announced is the development of the Niagara Falls Casino/Gateway Project which will feature a casino, a Hyatt hotel, a multiplex cinema, an amphitheatre, a full-service health spa, retail and more, scheduled to open in 2002. Toronto's Park Plaza Hotel has been renamed Park Hyatt Toronto after being purchased by business interests of the Pritzker family, whose interests include Hyatt. The hotel is undergoing renovations which, when complete, will feature a fitness centre, two restaurants, 348 guest rooms, a steakhouse, cafe, a Roof Top Lounge and Tea Room. A brand new 355-room Hyatt Regency Calgary is currently under construction and scheduled to open in June, 2000. Advertising for Hyatt is done by Kramer Krassalt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
