By Adnews Staff
Motrorola Inc., of Schaumburg, Illinois and StarFish Software of Scotts Valley, California have teamed up to help cellular phone users get organized. The duo has introduced the Motorola StarTAC Mobile Organizer, an accessory designed to clip onto the back of Motorola StarTAC cellular phone. The accessory is a 2.3 ounce device powered by two watch-class lithium batteries. It has a high resolution screen and is compatible with any analog, CDMA or TDMA digital StarTAC phone. Using technology from Starfish, the clip on device synchronizes with Web-Calendars, desktop organizers and PDA's including Yahoo!, Calendar & Address Book, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Organizer, Lotus Notes, ACT!, Sidekick, Palm III and REX PRO. The clip on organizer will be available through Motorola's Web site, a 1-800 number and retail electronic outlets in North America by the beginning of April. Advertising plans have not yet been confirmed but a campaign will be designed to promote the accessory. McCann Erickson of New York will handle the ads.
