LIQUOR OUTLETS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario is teaching Ontarians how to live a healthier lifestyle. The crown corporation launched a month-long promotion this week called Good Living. The goal of the promotion is to show customers how to make informed decisions about moderate alcohol consumption and healthy eating. Under the deal, 573 LCBO stores across the province will give away weekly planners that will feature healthy recipes, as well as ways to become more physically active and reduce stress. Selected outlets will sell a CD that features classical music. One dollar from the sale of each CD will be donated to The Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse, a provincial resource centre that provides information, support and resources to individuals or organizations that promote health within their communities. In addition, customers will have a chance to win a trip for two to Florida. The promotion will be supported using radio ads in Toronto and Ottawa, a print ad in Ottawa and in-store materials. The campaign was created by Communique of Toronto.
