UNITED WAY GETS OUTSIDE HELP
By Adnews Staff
The United Way of York Region has decided it needed some outside help to promote itself, so it hired BeakBane Marketing of Toronto earlier this month to do the job. The agency won the business without a competition. It was referred by one of the United Way's board members. Until now, the United Way handled its advertising in-house, but the organization recently completed donor research and realized it needed outside help to take the research and apply it, BeakBane creative director Peter Mosley told Adnews yesterday. "We knew we needed the help of experts to take our key messages and develop them into graphic and compelling communications materials," United Way executive director Wyn Chivers says in a release. The next ad campaign for the United Way of York Region will be launched in the spring.
