GLOBE AND MAIL ENHANCES WEB SITE
By Adnews Staff
The Globe and Mail has redesigned its Web site, adding better navigation, more news and the ability to look up stock quotes. Users can also search for stories from the last seven days and quickly browse the top five stories from each section. Photos of columnists with links to their profiles and articles appear on each section. In addition, users can subscribe, submit letters to the editor, enter contests, start and stop newspaper delivery when leaving town and place classified ads right from their PC. Over the past year, The Globe and Mail has made various changes to its site. It has added three new Web sites: GLOBEcareers.com, GLOBEtechnology.com and ChaptersGLOBE.com and had over 50,000 mutual fund portfolios tracked by GLOBEfund's new portfolio manager. The Globe says more than 100 organizations have advertised on its site.
