CHC GOES MEXICAN

The Chris Hughes Company of Toronto has started off the new year with a new client. The agency recently won the Taco Villa account. CHC won the business after Taco Villa spoke to two or three other agencies. Taco Villa became aware of CHC because of its work with New York Fries. Until now, Taco Villa did little advertising, but when it did, it used small creative houses on a project basis. The mexican fast-food chain decided to hire an agency now because it wants to expand, and felt the time was right to increase its advertising, CHC account director Julie Hughes told Adnews yesterday. Taco Villa currently operates 16 restaurants in Ontario and plans to open up to 10 more over the next year. The chain may also look at master franchise relationships to expand outside the province. CHC's first campaign for Taco Villa will be launched by the summer.
