ENVOY PURCHASES SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Envoy Communications of Toronto has signed a deal to buy Devlin Multimedia of Toronto, a maker of online business solutions. Devlin has developed an internet-based program called Decision Room, a digital customized communication tool that allows people to meet and work on projects while online. The agreement is subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals. It is expected to close in January. Envoy is the parent company of Communique of Toronto and Hampel Stefanides of New York. When the deal is completed, Devlin will merge with Communique's interactive department. Devlin founder and owner Catharine Devlin will head up Communique's digital communication business. The agreement will double the size of Communique's digital group and will fuel Devlin's growth in the U.S. Devlin specializes in helping organizations make the transition from print to digital communication.
