FUNDY MOVES INTO DIGITAL TV

Fundy Communications of Moncton, New Brunswick is now in digital mode. The company launched its digital television service this week in Moncton. It will roll out to other New Brunswick markets later in 1999. Called Max TV, the service provides viewers with a choice of five channel packages. The packages will include an interactive program guide, 30 DMX audio channels and access to 15 pay-per-view movie and event channels. Viewers will also be able to choose form additional English only, French only and/or combined packages. The digital TV service uses digital video compression technology to provide better picture and sound quality. Fundy will promote the service using newspaper and radio ads created by GCP Strategic Communications of Moncton.
