ALLIANCE DEVELOPS SCI FI TV SERIES

Alliance Atlantis of Toronto is bringing the big screen to the small screen in January. The film production company has developed a new sci fi TV series called Total Recall 2070. A movie version of the TV show starred Arnold Swarzenagger. Total Recall 2070 will centre around police detective David Hume and his android partner Ian Farve. The two are members of the Citizens Protection Bureau and their investigations will take them from earth to the Colonies on Mars. The show is set in the 2070 global society which has been destroyed by environmental and man-made disasters. Six conglomerates known as the Consortium dominate world affairs. CPS is the peacekeeper and defender of the common citizen, empowered to defend them from the Consortium. In Ontario, the show will air on ONtv. The TV station will promote Total Recall 2070 using print ads in Starweek, TV Guide and the Ottawa Citizen. In addition, there will be on-air promotions. The campaign will be created in-house by ONtv. The TV station will also air the movie version of Total Recall a few days prior to the premiere episode of the TV series.
