DRUG COMPANY HELPS CONTROL BLADDERS

Pharmacia & Upjohn of Mississauga, Ont. has launched a new drug to help people with bladder problems. Called Detrol, the twice-daily tablet curbs involuntary contractions of the detrusor muscle that surrounds the bladder. When this muscle contracts, urine begins to flow. Detrol will be promoted using ads in medical journals. The ads will be created by CPC Communications of Toronto. Fleishman-Hillard of Toronto is handling PR.
