ASIAN TELEVISION NETWORK REPORTS JUMP IN REVENUES

The Asian Television Network of Newmarket, Ont. reported an increase in revenues for the three month period ending Sept. 30. Revenue from all sources rose from $103,534 to $366,882. The growth was mainly due to an increase in the number of subscribers and a jump in ad revenue. Revenue for the first nine months of the year grew 58% from $705,886 to $1,115,678. This increase reflects not only a rise in subscriber and ad revenue, but also an increase in satellite dish sales in Canada and the U.S. to ATN subscribers. ATN has evolved from a production house to a specialty pay television broadcaster serving the South Asian community in Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean.
