TELEMEDIA TO BUY FOUR ONTARIO RADIO STATIONS

Telemedia Communications of Toronto is buying four Ontario radio stations from Radiocorp. The radio stations are: CKOC-AM and CKLH-FM, both in Hamilton, and CJBK-AM and CJBX-FM, both in London. CKOC is an oldies station, while CKLH plays light rock. CJBK is a talk radio station and CJBX plays country music. The idea is still subject to approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. Telemedia already operates 23 radio stations in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. It also publishes nine consumer magazines.
