ALCOHOL EDUCATION KICKS IN FOR CHRISTMAS SEASON
By Adnews Staff
Quebec-based Educ'alcool is gearing up for the Christmas drinking season. The non-profit organization has launched Christmas cards that bear a message to remind people to drink responsibly during the Christmas season. Almost 500,000 cards have been distributed to restaurants, cafes, bars, community centres, schools, boutiques, bookstores, video stores and SAQ outlets. Pop Media and New Ad networks are also being used. The card features a King/Queen. Look one way and it's a King, turn it around and it's a Queen. There are also various depictions of alcoholic beverages. The message on the back says: "So that the New Year brings us a little prosperity, much good health, great happiness and passionate love, let's raise a glass - in moderation - to 1999." The message is in French only. The card distribution is being supported by a poster campaign. The cards and the campaign were created by Communications bleu blanc rouge of Montreal.
